Sam's Word of the Week - Monday 6th June, 2005
Crumpet (n)
A variety of bread, most famous for growing on crumpet vines worldwide. Normally spread on crumpets is honey, strawberry jam or blended lettuce. Just last week, nine-year-old Mark Fox was admitted to hospital after attempting to eat a trumpet with honey, having confused it for a crumpet. He gained a broken jaw from the experience, as well as a good smacking from his parents. Health regulations nationwide advise against eating crumpets with melted, hot turnip chips, as the combination will cause death.

Hahaha... Nice Sam!!
(My grandparents are wondering what on earth this WotW is...)
Crumpets are served best with melted margarine - honey just isn't good (I still had honey all over my hands last night whilst trying to drive home - now there is honey on the steering wheel - not good...)
Mum just said that we have a friend who has a dog named Crumpet. It was a Beagle. It had a friend who's name was Honey, and the Labrador's name was Butter.
Anyway... Best be off...
Heya Samlam,
Crumpets mmmmm.......
I'm talking on the fone to you as i'm writing this message and you don't know it.
I disagree with kylz, crumpets are best served with honey and which im sure youd agree, we'll have crumpets together before we go home this week.
Anywayz, my right hand man, i'm getting distracted whilst on the fone and writing this message.
talk to you now, bubye!!!
Love ya Sam,
Eliza xoxo
I too believe crumpets can ONLY be served with honey. In fact, it is against the law in Uzbeckistan to serve crumpets without honey. You will recieve a 4 month suspended jail term for this breach of the national code of conduct.
Great to hear you are doing well samuel and being very creative. I am sorry not to have caught up with you recently; i've been very busy and only had time to drop in for a second on monday.
How is the eradication program going? Step four is on the way; hopefully i will catch up with you when i deliver it. All the best samuel, i look foward to your report regarding the success of step 3. I hope it didn't take too long to decipher.
Harriette.
PS; i think a nice word of the
week may be hairdryer, blowing, or electrical....what do you think?
mm crumpets. I had them the other week after a long period of forgetting that they exisited. They were very nice, and i also like honey on them :D
love jac xo
I have to admit, I'm not a huge crumpet fan, but the word itself is muchly awesome.
Crumpets remind me a fair bit of sponges come to think of it. Chin Up , hope to see you soon :)
Tronnis.

Yeah good old crumpets are great but the best thing for them is vegemite!, most people hate it but i love it.

I agree with the vegemite on crumpets!! What a grand idea for breakfast (at about 11ish...) I think we have some crumpets (Golden Crumpets at that!) in the freezer still...
