Vegetable Pastie (n)
A pastry filled with vegetables. One of the oldest forms of food around, herbivore and carnivore dinosaurs ate these as the perfect afternoon snack after a long day at the office. Many years later, uni students purchase vegetable pasties today, when there are no pies left. Rumours surrounding Bob Carr’s recent resignation suggest he left to start a new life promoting vegetable pasties. Good for him. In 2001, McDonalds added the ‘turnip chip vegetable pastie’ to its new taste menu. Due to the amount of repulsion and sickness caused from the new taste, the multi-billion dollar company nearly went into bankruptcy.

Heya Sam!!
I'm not the hugest fan of vegetable pasties, however you want to pronounce pasties... But I suppose they are alright. Better for you than Caramel Tim Tams or Chocolate Fudge.
I do agree with the others when they say that vegetable pasties goes against the WotW rules, being two words and all...
I have never made vegetable pasties... Are they just vegetables that have been cooked and then put into a thick-ish white sauce before being wrapped in triangles of pastry?
I really don't think I should name one of my nameless fish Vegetable Pastie. It isn't really a fish kind of name... So the Comets remain nameless, sharing the tank with Chalk n Cheese and Crumbled, Grilled and Battered.
Anyway Sam, I'd best be off... Have to cope with kids in the morning for childminding... Blergh. (I know I will enjoy it once I get there... Hugs from little Josh!! :D)
